Meet the Company

Natalie (she/her) was born in Houston, Texas where she attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and then went on to graduate from George Mason University with her B.F.A. in Dance. She has had the opportunity to work with artists such as, Kyle Abraham, Hope Boykin, Robert Kleinendorst, Marlana Doyle, and Ashley McQueen with Smashworks Dance. Natalie has trained at summer intensives such as Doug Varone and Dancers’, A.I.M., Tanz Company Gervasi, Orange Grove Dance, Houston Contemporary Dance, and others. She has had the opportunity to choreograph her own work including With Time Between Us, Hearsay, Full, and Tip Generously. Natalie currently freelances in the city, teaches, and is in the process of her 200-houryoga teaching certification.

Sydney (she/her) is a dancer from Chicago, IL, she began dancing at the age of three through the Chicago Park District. Growing up, Sydney trained at Ballet Legere, Le Ballet Petit, and Universal Language Dance Company. By the age of fifteen, Sydney began dancing at Extensions Dance Center under the mentorship and guidance of Lizzie MacKenzie.
Sydney attended Marymount Manhattan College in NYC where she received her BFA in Dance with a concentration in modern ('22). During her time at Marymount, Sydney had the privilege of working with Peter Chu, Andrea Miller, Adam Burruch, Katie Langan, Nancy Lushington, Alberto del Saz, Caroline Fermin, Dan Walczak, Troy Ogilvie, and many more. Sydney was accepted into the "MMC Dance Company," a year long "Residency," for the 2021-2022 season. In addition to performance, Sydney was able to present her own choreography ("OCD") in Dancers At Work Fall 2021 with the help of her amazing mentor, Tymberly Canale.
Currently, Sydney is a company member for CoreDance Contemporary and just completed her first season with the company. In addition to CoreDance, Sydney continues to be a part of project-based works around New York City.
Sydney has been a dance teacher for several years now, teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, acro, and mommy and me. She has previously worked at Starz on Broadway in Lynbrook, NY and Fancy Feet Dance Studio in Bronx, NY. In addition to teaching, Sydney works at CycleBar Nomad at their front desk and is starting her Group Fitness Certification.
Formerly, Sydney was accepted to and attended numerous summer programs, including Hubbard Street and River North Dance Chicago. Furthermore, Sydney was chosen to perform in Ron De Jesus' "The Osiris Legend" in 2016 and was an apprentice for Dance in the Parks in 2019.

Alyssa (she/her) a NYC-based dancer, has performed works by Dwight Rhoden, Stephen Petronio, Jess Hendricks, Shannon Gillen, Aszure Barton and Peter Chu. She has showcased works for companies such as The Movement and Finleigh Zack Dance. Alyssa graduated with a BFA in Dance from NYU Tisch under the direction of Sean Curran after attending Booker T. Washington HSPVA. She spent her summers studying with the programs Alvin Ailey, Alonzo King Lines, and Orsolina 28. Alyssa’s a versatile dancer who enjoys bringing choreographers’ visions to life.

Gioia (she/they) is a freelance dancer, choreographer and educator based in New York. Originally from Michigan, she moved to the city in 2020 to attend Barnard College where she graduated with her BA in Dance and American Studies. After graduation she danced with Salt Contemporary Dance's Second Company, performing works by Alice Klock, Garrett Smith, Sloan Caldwell, and Amy Gunter-Lolofie. In college they had the privilege of working with artists in New York including Caroline Fermin, Yoshito Sakuraba, Jess Smith and Chelsea Ainsworth of Dual Rivet, Shannon Gillen, Wesley Ensminger and Thuy Wyckoff.
